A quick addendum to an eventful Tuesday
OK so once again, I didn’t get around to watching The Acolyte, but I did manage to squeeze in a six-mile bike ride before it got dark and I’ve started marathoning the Final Destination franchise. I just finished watching the first one and I wouldn’t call it a horror classic by any stretch, it is still pretty enjoyable. The premise is well-executed and the deaths range from darkly (if perhaps unintentionally) humourous to downright disturbing. Shirley Walker’s score also deserves plenty of credit, especially the fantastic use of brass and strings during the film’s finale. Man, I miss when film scores had character and personality.
I was thinking of watching the second one before I head to bed, but I’m feeling too tired. I probably should be getting some sleep.
