I know it’s already Monday but it still feels like a Sunday to me…

It’s that time of night again where I’m not entirely sure whether it’s officially today or tomorrow. I should probably be in bed by now but my mind’s not exactly feeling tired yet and yes… I’m well aware that I’m not doing my brain any goddamn favours by typing up blournal entries at half-two in the morning.

Oh, well. If I wake up feeling groggy, working out at the gym should help to alleviate some of that fatigue… at least temporarily. After that, I’ll be heading down in Belfast, where I’ll be staying for most of the week as I’m going to be at the Belfast Media Festival. Truth be told, I was actually hoping to attend last year’s events but that didn’t really pan out for a number of reasons and I was also feeling a little emotionally wounded at the time. You can probably guess why, but if you haven’t, it was mostly to do with the unwanted resurgence of a particular president who shall remain nameless. But I digress. I like the Belfast Media Festival. It’s a golden opportunity for networking and meeting like-minded people from the entertainment industry. Over the years, I’ve met some incredible local talent including the creators of Blue Lights and the filmmaking team behind An Irish Goodbye. I’m not sure how things will pan out this year, but I’m excited and I’m eager to put myself back out there again.

I should get back into reading again. I have way too many books that I’ve either started reading but never finished or I’ve never got around to reading them yet. It’s a shame because I like reading… almost as much as I like watching movies and listening to music… and that’s mostly because the written word has such a unique quality to it. The written word encourages you to use your imagination in a particular way that visual mediums don’t, and that’s something that I would like to experience again. I probably won’t now because it is bloody late and I want to try and get at least a little bit of sleep so…
