There’s always a bigger fifth

Yes, that’s a Star Wars reference and yes, I will be keeping this shit up for the foreseeable.

I still haven’t begun my Star Wars marathon yet, but I might watch a few episodes of The Acolyte tonight. Like I said in yesterday’s blournal entry, I’m well aware that it has a polarising reception among fans, but that’s not gonna deter me from giving it a shot. Personally, I feel like a lot of the vitriol towards newer Star Wars is a bit overblown… OK, way overblown, if I’m being completely honest, but that’s a story for another day. I can understand being a fan of a franchise and not enjoying the direction it’s going in, but without pointing any fingers, I feel like some people can really take that antipathy way too far.

At the end of the day, Star Wars is still Star Wars and even if I’m not always onboard with the direction it’s heading in, I’m happy enough to sit back and enjoy the movies and shows that I do enjoy… yes, that also includes some of the sequel trilogy.

Bear with me. My opinions on Star Wars are kind of all over the place.
