This is not an update…

I haven’t blournalled since Friday and I’m sure you can guess why.

Life just isn’t all that exciting for me at the moment, although I do have a hectic weekend ahead of me. On Saturday, I’ll be seeing The Weir at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. I’ve already mentioned in the past that I’m not exactly well-versed in theatre, but I’m looking forward to seeing this play as I’m a big fan of actor Brendan Gleeson and I’m stoked as hell to have the opportunity to see him performing on stage. The day after, I’ll be seeing Jaws at the QFT. Yes, Jaws is a classic and I’ve seen many times on both DVD and Blu-Ray, but I’m excited to see it on the big screen.

I’ve also started watching Breaking Bad again for the first time in years and it’s still great… even in its earlier episodes, it makes for such enthralling and addictive viewing. I love the visual style, the camerawork, editing, the music, the mix of humour and pathos and especially the performances. It goes without saying but Bryan Cranston is superb and the rest of the cast are all brilliant too. Sadly, I never got around to watching Better Call Saul, which is something I plan to rectify once I’m finished with my Breaking Bad revisit. Really looking forward to that one as I’ve heard many people say that it’s every bit as good as, if not better than, Breaking Bad.

Anyway, I’d better get myself ready for another workout.
