April Fools' Day
Yep, it’s that time of year again and nope… I don’t have any jokes. Then again, it’s hard to top the current state of the world, which itself feels like an overly indulgent and drawn-out April Fools joke with no end in sight.
Mickey 17
I saw Mickey 17 last week. I would’ve written about it much sooner but I’ve been struggling to articulate my thoughts on it.
The caveman look is gone… for now
I got myself a shave and a haircut earlier today, and it does lightens the load.

I’m sitting in Lavery’s right now doing what I usually do on a Sunday night: taking stock and plotting a course of action for the week ahead.
Oscars
So, I stayed up late last night to watch the 97th Academy Awards. I don’t know what the overall consensus for this year’s show is, but I greatly enjoyed it.

I can’t believe it’s already March. Where the fuck does the time go?
No, seriously. Where does it go? It feels like it was only yesterday when I was counting down to the New Year in Lavery’s. That was definitely a fun night…
No more monkeying around
Lately, life’s been pretty quiet and uneventful, but I did see The Monkey last Friday, and I thought it was an absolute blast.

Pardon the absence. February has been a pretty hectic month and for the last couple of days, my head has been fucking frazzled, so trying to write a “blournal” entry has been kind of frustrating.
Another week of radio silence…

Once again, I can’t apologise enough for the radio silence on this “blournal”. I don’t have any excuse to offer, aside from life kind of getting in the way as it has a nasty habit of doing.
Once again, it’s the middle of the week…
…and I can’t believe the weekend’s almost around the corner again.

A Bit of Indulgence in 4K
Last week, I decided to be impulsive and buy Arrow’s recent release of Inglourious Basterds on 4K, while also pre-ordering their upcoming 4K releases of Dressed to Kill and Lifeforce for good measure.

Apologies for the radio silence. My mood took a slight dip during the week and that’s partially why I haven’t done any “blournalling” since last Monday.

Back on Track
I spent most of this weekend playing word games on my phones, which is basically my way of saying that my weekend was not productive in the slightest.
Let’s Go, Giants
Last night, I saw the Belfast Giants play against the Nottingham Panthers at the SSE Arena in Belfast and… holy puck, I think I might like hockey.
