A long overdue update

Hello. It’s me again. Just thought I’d check in to reassure you all that I’m still here. The internet was down for a few days last week and I was also feeling a slight comedown from the week prior, which is why I haven’t updated the blournal for nearly two weeks. Oh, well. I know I said I’d like to write blournal entries on a more regular basis but life often has a nasty habit of getting in the way.

I’ve got a few ideas for the website that I’ve been wanting to implement for some time. One of these ideas that I’ve had floating around in the back of my mind for the better part of a year is a “backlog” section, a list of all the things that I plan on checking out at some point. Kind of like those two blournal entries I wrote earlier in the year where I just listed random movies, shows, games, artists, podcasts, books, etc., but this time, I plan to breaking my lists down into those respective categories… movies, games, TV shows, YouTube channels, plays, books, comics, podcasts, albums, artists, bands, etc. Sometimes, I wish there was a proper catch-all word for all of the various types of auditory, visual or literate entertainment available to us as consumers, but at the moment, it feels like everybody’s perfectly content with using the word “content”… and I’m not. I really fucking hate that word. Specifically, I hate the context in which it’s used, but that’s a story for another day. Besides, there’s plenty of eloquent diatribes about why the word sucks so bad, often written by people who are a lot more intelligent than me so… moving on.

I also went and got myself a haircut and a beard trim yesterday.

Not a bad look at all if I do say so myself. Maybe that’s something I can experiment with once 2026 rolls around.
