I still haven’t seen The Acolyte
Was feeling a bit groggy yesterday, but I think I’m slightly more energised today. That’s always a plus.
And like the title says, I still haven’t started watching The Acolyte but I did watch both Final Destination 2 and 3 yesterday. I liked the second film quite a bit… in some ways, I enjoyed it more than the first one, mostly because of David R. Ellis’ direction. The highway pileup that kicks off the movie is spectacular, the setups are actually kind of clever and not nearly as on-the-nose as in the first film and I also really like how suspenseful some of the kills in this movie are.
I was mostly lukewarm on the third film. Didn’t hate it, but didn’t think it was anything too special. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is great and the film does have some of the most iconic deaths in the entire franchise (let’s face it, the tanning bed sequence is an all-timer), but outside of that, eh… to quote Lisa Simpson.
I’m gonna head out on the bike for a while. Catch you later.
