One in the morning…

I should probably be winding down right about now. It’s late and I’m tired, but my mind doesn’t know how to switch off.

I’m gonna try and squeeze in a workout session tomorrow morning before I head into the town for a couple of hours. I’ve been hemming and hawing over whether or not to go see The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I eventually decided that I might as well go for it. It’s always fun seeing older movies on the big screen, especially quintessential cult classics like Rocky Horror. I’m curious to see what the audience turnout will be like, especially because audience participation is such a big part of the Rocky Horror experience.

There’s a few other cinema trips I have planned for the weekend. I’m hoping to see The Naked Gun on Saturday and I also plan to head up to Belfast to see The Princess Bride… on VHS… on a 4K cinema screen. That’s something I’m especially looking forward to because it’s part of a new podcast called Say Yes To VHS, which is about the history of home video in Northern Ireland. It sounds like a interesting series and it appeals to my particular niche because I love learning about the history of home video, especially here in the UK where we had the “video nasties” moral panic. I’d be intrigued to see if that’s brought up at any point during the podcast.

OK, now is the time for me to head up the wooden hill and at least try to nod off. Who knows? I might actually be successful.

Take care.
