Surely it’s still Monday somewhere in the world…

Goddamn, I’m feeling fucking knackered right now, which is probably a good thing at this time of the night. I should be getting ready to head up the wooden hill but I just wanna sit up, listen to music and watch whatever’s on TV. What can I say? I think there’s just a part of me that likes being a night owl. It’s pretty irresistible, I’m not gonna lie.

Right now, I’m listening to Nine Inch Nails’ Ghosts I-IV, which may or may not be good pre-bedtime music. I’m not normally someone who dabbles in ambient music but Trent Reznor is one of my go-tos for this type of music and that’s probably because he is so fucking good at creating auditory soundscapes that are deceptively serene, quietly unnerving or brutally visceral. Yeah, it’s not exactly easy listening but for me, that’s what makes Reznor’s ambient compositions so compelling. Also, never forget that Lil Nas X sampled part of this album for “Old Town Road”. Not gonna lie. I’m listening to “34 Ghosts IV” while I’m writing this and I can’t help but hum the melody to “Old Town Road”.

Nevertheless, I must resist the temptation and head to bed. So I’ll leave you hanging by once again saying good night and good morning.
