The end of another weekend (and the continuing FUBARing of my body clock)
Hello once again…
Right now, I’m currently sitting in the local pub debating with myself over whether or not to stay up and watch the England v. Mexico match this morning. Given that I’ve pretty badly FUBAR’d my body clock as of late — and playing Ratchet and Clank until well after half-two in the morning didn’t exactly help matters — it’s probably not advisable, but at the same time, I do wanna keep a bit of a closer eye on sporting events going forward. Even if I’m not necessarily much of a fan, who knows? It might make for good conversation in the local parish.
Brazil vs. Norway match is on every TV screen at the moment and the bar is surprisingly lively, especially for a Sunday night. I’d partly attribute that to all the buzz and hype surrounding the World Cup, which I don’t mind at all. I’m still stubbornly ambivalent towards most sports and soccer is not exactly something I get overly excited about but I do appreciate the whole social aspect of it.
But seeing as this is the weekend, my mind is on other things as well… the gym, writing, photography, watching movies, reading books, playing games, etc… I played a lot of Ratchet and Clank over the weekend and, at the time of this writing, I’d estimate that I’m roughly two-thirds of the way into it but as much as I’d love to, I can’t spend all of my time playing video games. I have to balance that out with my other commitments so… roughly two hours of gaming per day is my plan for the week ahead. We’ll see how that pans out.
I’ll pick up where I left off when I return home but for now, I should get off the phone and enjoy the craic while it lasts.
