Halfway through another week

Hi…

So, I’ve been struggling to write blournal entries for almost a week now. Obviously, it’s not the end of the world when shit like that happens, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating. I suppose it could be worse, though. I could’ve made the same mistake I made last when I was this close to finishing a full-fledged blournal entry, but I accidentally clicked out of it without saving. Hell, even that could’ve been worse as it could’ve been an actual essay or thesis or something of actual substance.

Moving on from that, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath had their big farewell show in Birmingham over the weekend. I didn’t get tickets to see it in person, but I’m currently catching up with it via the Back to the Beginning stream — I can’t exactly call it a livestream as it wasn’t streamed live per se. Either way, it’s an amazing show with an impressive lineup of bands, artists and supergroups to boot — Tool, Slayer, Mastodon, Anthrax, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Metallica, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, Papa V Perpetua — it’s kind of like The Last Waltz for metalheads. I probably won’t get the chance to watch all of it before I head out for the quiz this evening, but so far, I’m digging the hell out of it.

I really need to get back into practicing more on the guitar. It’s the only way I might actually be able to get good at it.
