So, let’s see.
Today, I wrote a blournal about how happy it makes me that the Democrats fucking swept the midterms. After that, I went and got myself a wee beard trim while I was out in Cookstown. I also decided to treat myself when I was out and got myself a new pen as I needed a new one for my notebook. Yes, even though I use a blournal to air out some of my thoughts, a physical notebook still has its uses.
After that, I did my 90 minutes at the Hub and once that was all done, I hemmed and hawed over what to write about next on the blournal, all the while sporadically checking in on what was happening over in America. The vibe overall seems very positive and hopeful, which is great. 2026 has been a rough year and I thought we could all do with a bit of positivity and hope. I won’t say much else on the matter but one thing I do find it amusing that the current lame duck of a president seems to think that the reason his party was so thoroughly trounced was apparently because he wasn’t on the ballot. This is despite the fact that he openly told his supporters and the American people at large to vote as if he was on the ballot and they did exactly that. I’m just saying.
Anyway, I’m about to head off shortly. The midweek pub quiz is less than an hour from now and I need to get myself ready, so apologies if this one’s a bit shorter than usual. I may or may not post a wee update when I get home.
