Soft rebooting the site
I think I’ve said this a few times in previous posts but I’ve often been tempted to just scrap the entire blournal so I could make a fresh start. You can say that I’m being too much of a perfectionist, you can say that I’m being overly self-critical but I really do fucking hate most of what I’ve posted on this website. But you know what... for as much as I’m tempted to take a sledgehammer approach to this site and start from scratch, I won’t.
Like I said in one of my previous posts…
The main reason why this blournal even exists in the first place is because I knew it would never come to fruition if I gave in to my inner perfectionist and kept tinkering away at the website until it was just right because it would never be “just right”.
Instead, I think it might be more ideal if I took more of a soft-reboot approach instead. I’m not gonna be deleting any of my past blournal entries anytime soon, but feel free to consider this post as the start of something new… a slight do-over if you will. You can browse through my past posts to your heart’s content but my intention is that this will be a fresh start… not just for the blournal or the website, but also hopefully for myself as well. I’ve been in a rut for far too goddamn long and I need to get out of it.
Getting back to the website for a brief moment, I mentioned in the same post that I’d set my photo galleries to private because I was dissatisfied with them. More specifically, I wasn’t satisfied with the way my photos were organised. So, I think it might be a good time for me to knuckle down and actually figure out how to categorise my photos because I’d like to have somewhere on this site where people can see all my photos and any photos that have been taken of me over the years.
That should do it for now. There’s a few things going on in the back of my mind that I would love to talk about but as per usual, I’m trying to bang something out before I head off to the pub for a few pints so I’ll wrap things by saying… peace.
I’ll be back… at some point.
