Spring is springing
It was a surprisingly decent week… at least weatherwise. There’s been the occasional dull day with drizzle and downpour, but there has just as many days with blue skies and sunshine. Granted, it is still kind of chilly at times, but at the moment, the skies are clear in a way that seemed almost impossible even a week ago. Hell, I even managed to eek out a few decent sunset photos over the last two days, which you can see on my Instagram. I might make them available on this website further down the line but… I’m a chronic procrastinator and I want to add some things to the website before I do anything of that.
So, what else is new besides the weather? Well, I did see Karis Kelly’s Consumed at the Lyric Theatre last week, which I really enjoyed. I liked the overall presentation of the play — the setting, atmosphere, performances — and how it explores familial trauma across generations. It’s funny but also poignant, surreal and even a little spooky in areas, especially in its surprisingly haunting conclusion. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading up to Belfast again to see another play. This time, it’ll be To Kill A Mockingbird at the Grand Opera House, which I’m really looking forward to, even though I’ve regrettably not read the book or watched the movie as of yet.
And that’s all I have to say at the moment. Take care.
