Still kicking
Hi.
Just thought I’d post something to let you all know that I’m still kicking. I think my last update was at the end of May and not much has happened since then… at least in my own wee bubble. Obviously, I can’t say the same for the outside world and… sigh… look, I really don’t want to talk about any of that shit right now. I might write more about all that in the future, but at the moment, I’m trying to not let all of my worries and fears about the state of the world pile on top of me. It’s not easy, but it has to be done.
I’ve been doing more exercise as of late, which has been a pretty good way for me to keep all my anxieties at bay. This week, I’ve started working out down at the local hub and I’m already feeling some of the benefits. Granted, I’m a little out of practice with some of the exercises that I used to do when I was participating in weekly circuit classes, but I’m confident I can get back into the swing of things. The way I see it, I’m only gonna get better at working out. I’ll get good at it and then I’ll get even better.
So, anything else to report? Not really, although I do have plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks. Planned cinema trips (I’m really excited to see 28 Years Later next week), more pub quizzes, my cousin’s wedding, the local barbecues, my 28th birthday and I’ll also be seeing Iron Maiden again when they perform at Malahide. That should be fun.
Also, before I wrap things up, I should probably that my friend, Liv Hill, has started a GoFundMe page to raise money for those who’ve been affected by the racially motivated violence in Ballymena. I’ve already made a donation and I’d encourage others to do the same by clicking this link. I’m not sure when the riots will stop, but until they do, take care, stay safe and look out for anyone who may need a helping hand when this is all over.
